30 Days of Style: DIY Face Mask

Happy Fashion Friday Beautifuls :)

I'm so excited because we are featuring a DIY mask consisting of just TWO ingredients: Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay and Apple Cider Vinegar. I actually use this mask and it left my skin feeling SO smooth and moisturized! Hope you like it as much as I do:

The first thing to do is to mix the clay with equal parts of raw apple cider vinegar ( I used Bragg Apple Cider Vinegar) in a non-metal bowl using a non-metal utensil (I used a plastic bowl and a makeup brush).

Once you mix the clay and vinegar together, it'll start to make a fizzing sound. Then, you'll get a paste (pictured above).  Once the paste is at your desired consistency, you will then apply it your face.

Depending on your skin type, allow the mask to dry from 5-20 minutes.  I personally left the mask on for minutes.  It did start to itch as it was drying but I stuck it out.

After the mask has had time to dry, it will begin to hardened (as pictured above). It's at this time that you can begin to wash the mask off with warm water and a wash cloth.

My experience: After I washed the mask off my face, it didn't feel as smooth as I thought it would but I did notice some slight irritation of my skin but according to the directions, that was to be expected.

Once your face is dried, I recommend you apply a good moisturizer or facial oil.  I applied Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil which left my face feeling SO soft, moisturized and smooth!  I mean, my face felt incredible!

Now, I am NOT a dermatologist, doctor or certified medical professional so I am not liable for any damages associated with trying this DIY mask.  I liked this mask when I tried it so I wanted to share it with you all in hopes that you will like it too!

Well, that's it for our first day of 31 Days of Style.  And again, be sure to join us every day as we feature all things beauty, fashion and style for the entire month of March!

Amy :)
