Love is Not Jealous

Hi there Lovebugs :)

How are we doing so far in our love walks this month??

Today's focus is: Love is not jealous.

When I looked up the definition of jealous, this is what I found:

  • hostile toward a rival or one believed to enjoy an advantage

Can you recall and time (or two) when you acted jealous?  Whether it was with your mate, co-worker, family or friend, have you acted in a way that was unpleasant towards them because you felt they were (or thought) they were better than you?

Well as we can see, that's not Love!  Usually, at the root of jealousy is insecurity of some form. But I want you to think about something: what do you have to be jealous of? You're fearfully and wonderfully made! (Psalm 139:14) You're God's masterpiece! (Ephesians 2:10)

So today, we're going to walk in the security of knowing that we are who GOD says we are. Love is not jealous so neither are we. We will not entertain any thoughts of jealousy but will instead, meditate on and recite what God says about us!

Are you ready to be secure?  Are you ready to treat others better?  Are you ready to walk in confidence and security?

On your mark! Ready! Set! LOVE!

Xo,
Amy :)
