31 Days of Prayer: Day 6
Good Morning Everyone :)
It's Day 6 of 31 Days of Prayer which means we've almost completed our first week! Today, we are going to pray for the mind of Christ. The brain is a powerful muscle. Think about how many thoughts we think throughout the course of a day. Think about what it is that you actually think about.
Having a mind of Christ puts us in a position to think like Christ and think on the things of Him. We can choose to think thoughts that are in line with His Word and His Will. Changing the way we think will ultimately change our lives so it's time for us to do a thought check. We can tell a lot about a person by the way they think..
"Father in the name of Jesus, I pray that You forgive me of my sins, sins of omission and sins of commission, sins done in thought, word and deed. And I thank You Lord for giving me a forgiving heart, that I may forgive those who trespass against me just as You oh God forgive me of my trespasses in Jesus name. Father God I pray that You bless me with the mind of Christ. I pray dear God that You remove every thought in my mind that is not of You. Let this mind that's in me be also in Christ Jesus. Please help me oh Lord to think thoughts that in accordance to Your word. Help me to think thoughts that are holy and true, in Jesus name Amen"
Romans 12:2 ESV
"Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect."
Philippians 4:8 ESV
"Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things."
Philippians 2:5 ESV
"Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus,"
Romans 8:5-6 ESV
"For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace."
Colossians 3:2 ESV
"Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth."
