31 Days of Prayer: Day 27

Good Morning Everyone :)

Do you remember this song:

"This little light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine.

This little light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine.

This little light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine.

Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine."

What does it mean to you to "let your light shine"?  When people look at you, what or should I say who do they see?

As followers of Christ, we are responsible for our thoughts, behaviors, actions and lifestyles. The same way we boldly speak the Word over ourselves and others is the same way we should boldly live it.

When we live a surrendered life for Christ, a light begins to exude for us. It's not to be mistaken for who we are but rather Who dwells within us. As we give our bodies as living sacrifices to The Lord, He will use us in various ways to carry out the mission of His Kingdom on Earth as it is in Heaven.

The more we are yielded, obedient, submitted and sold out to Christ, the brighter the Light shines within us. If your light needs a little fine tuning, today's prayer is just what you need to get the fire going!

Sample prayer:

"Father in the name of Jesus, I pray that You forgive me of my sins, sins of omission and sins of commission, sins done in thought, word and deed. And I thank You Lord for giving me a forgiving heart, that I may forgive those who trespass against me just as You oh God forgive me of my trespasses in Jesus name. Father God I come before You, asking that You reveal to me ways that my light can shine brighter for You. I pray dear God that everything I do, say and think lines up with Your Word, Your Will and Your Ways so that You may be glorified in my life. I thank You dear God for dwelling in me as I offer myself as a living sacrifice to You. You are the one true living God and there is absolutely NONE like You. In Jesus name, Amen"
