31 Days of Prayer: Day 21
Good Morning Everyone :)
What goes through your mind when you see a homeless person? How about when you see someone asleep in a makeshift bed on the side of an office building in 20 degree weather?
Many of us have different perceptions when it comes to the homeless. Some of us wonder, how did they get that way? Some of us even wonder, are they lazy? No matter how they got into the circumstances that they are in, the homeless and the less fortunate need love just like we do.
As we pray for the homeless today, think about what you would want someone to pray if you were in that situation. It's true that God is the Supplier of all of our needs but keep in mind, He does use His children to fulfill His will concerning this.
Will you look the other way the next time a person in need asks for your help?
"Father in the name of Jesus, I pray that You forgive me of my sins, sins of omission and sins of commission, sins done in thought, word and deed. And I thank You Lord for giving me a forgiving heart, that I may forgive those who trespass against me just as You oh God forgive me of my trespasses in Jesus name. Father God, I come before You lifting up the homeless and the less fortunate. I pray in Jesus name that You Father God, continue to be their Shepherd so that they shall not want. I pray oh God that You put it in the hearts of Your people to sow into the homeless and the less fortunate. You are the Supplier of their every need oh God and we thank You for blessing the homeless and the less fortunate with food, clothing and shelter, in Jesus name Amen"
James 2:15-16 NLT
"Suppose you see a brother or sister who has no food or clothing, and you say, “Good-bye and have a good day; stay warm and eat well”—but then you don’t give that person any food or clothing. What good does that do?"
Proverbs 19:17 ESV
"Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will repay him for his deed."
Psalm 82:3-4 ESV
"Give justice to the weak and the fatherless; maintain the right of the afflicted and the destitute. Rescue the weak and the needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked.”
Matthew 25:40 NKJV
"And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’"
