31 Days of Prayer: Day 2

Good Morning Everyone!

Welcome to Day 2 of 31 Days of Prayer! Today we're going to pray for God's heart. My Pastor actually revealed to me the importance and significance of praying for God's heart. To be transparent with you all, I love spending time with God but it never dawned on me to pray for His heart. See, when we're in a relationship, the things that are important to our mate become important to us. The things that may hurt your mate feelings you tend to shy away from. Why? Because you love them.

Intimacy and closeness with God can be achieved as we spend time with Him. Pray for God's heart. Pray that we as His children do whatever is necessary to not grieve His heart. Ask God what it is that you can do to bring joy to His heart and ask Him for the grace to do it!

Sample prayer:

"Father in the name of Jesus, please forgive me of my sins, sins of omission and sins of commission, sins done in thought, word and deed. Lord, I forgive those who trespass against me just as You God, forgive me of my trespasses. Father, I come to You lifting up Your heart. I pray oh God that Your heart overflows with joy as You look upon Your people. I pray for Your heart to be comforted. I pray that You enable me to consider You and Your ways so that I may not do that which grieves Your heart. Thank You for blessing me with The grace necessary to live for and please You. In Jesus name Amen"
