31 Days of Prayer: Day 17
Good Morning Everyone :)
How often do you pray over your Pastor? What about your church family?
God has specifically chosen our leaders to teach us, pour into us, guide us, instruct us and direct us. Think about the amount of work, purging, sacrifice, obedience and dedication required to lead God's people. Can you imagine being held accountable for the souls of others?
Today, we are going to cover our leaders in prayer. It's good to be concerned about our leaders. It's great for us to be considerate and mindful of the responsibilities that accompany their assignments. Besides, you would want someone to pray for you... right?
"Father in the name of Jesus, I pray that You forgive me of my sins, sins of omission and sins of commission, sins done in thought, word and deed. And I thank You Lord for giving me a forgiving heart, that I may forgive those who trespass against me just as You oh God forgive me of my trespasses in Jesus name. Father I come before lifting up my Pastor, ___________________(your Pastor's name) and my _____________________ (the name of your church) church family. Lord I plead the blood of Jesus over my Pastor from the top of his/her head to the bottom of his/her feet. I pray God that You give him/her the mind of Christ and a heart after Your own. Give them ears to hear oh Lord so that as we follow him/her, he/she is following You. Fill them with Your spirit, oh Lord, as they lead Your people. Thank You being concerned about everything that concerns them. I speak peace over my Pastor and my church family and that my brothers and sisters shall not make it burdensome for our Pastor to lead us, in Jesus name Amen"
Hebrews 13:17 ESV
"Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they are keeping watch over your souls, as those who will have to give an account. Let them do this with joy and not with groaning, for that would be of no advantage to you."
Jeremiah 3:15 ESV
“‘And I will give you shepherds after my own heart, who will feed you with knowledge and understanding."
Malachi 2:7 ESV
"For the lips of a priest should guard knowledge, and people should seek instruction from his mouth, for he is the messenger of the Lord of hosts."
