31 Days of Prayer: Day 1

Good Morning Everyone!

Welcome to 31 Days of Prayer! The purpose of 31 Days of Prayer is for us to draw closer to God and strengthen our relationships with Him through prayer. For the next 31 days, we will focus on a prayer topic per day as well as write about our experience with God in a journal.

Today's prayer topic is "Salvation". Salvation is defined as the deliverance from sin and its consequences.  To receive salvation, we recite what's called the sinners prayer. By saying the sinners prayer, we are confessing with our mouths and believing in our hearts that Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior.

This morning, pray for your salvation. Confess that you are a sinner who needs Jesus. Confess that you believe Jesus died but arose on the third day. Confess that you believe He died for your sins. As you pray, let The Holy Spirit guide you.  Salvation is one of the greatest gift we could ever receive and what's more amazing is that God wants to offer it especially to you and me.

Sample prayer:

"Father in the name of Jesus, please forgive me of my sins, sins of omission and sins of commission, sins done in thought, word and deed. Lord, I forgive those who trespass against me just as You God, forgive me of my trespasses. Father God, I confess that I am a sinner and that I need Jesus. I believe that Jesus died for me and that You are the true and living God. Please come into my heart so that I may know You. Help me to be who you want me to be so that I may live for You. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit Lord as I offer my life to you. You are my Redeemer. You are my Father and I belong to You. In Jesus name Amen"
