Do We Take God Seriously?
Hello Lovebugs :)
From sundown October 3 - October 4, we observed and participated in a Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur) prayer service. The Day of Atonement is the holiest day of the year, where we go before the Lord with repentant hearts, seeking redemption. What was so awesome about this experience was the opportunity to experience God and all of His glory in a deeper way. Imagine if God decided not to forgive us. Imagine if God completely and permanently turned His back on us like we've done Him a time or two.
Some of us really need to understand the seriousness of God. God is a loving God but He's also a God of judgement. He hates sin with a passion but loves us so much that He sacrificed His son for us. We can and should NEVER get too comfortable or too mighty or too high up in God that we start taking Him or His work for granted!
God is looking for us to have relationships with Him. His blessings and rewards are PHENOMAL however He is much more greater! As we embrace this new year, let us shift our focus on the Blesser instead of the blessing. We can never have too much of God. He wants to have a relationship with us. The question is, do we?
