May Day: Reclaiming Our Finances

Hi Lovebugs :)

Ok, now it's Day 13 of May Day and we are still reclaiming what has been lost, stolen and taken.  Beginning today, we are going to focus on RECLAIMING OUR FINANCES!  Oh yes!  It's time to get it ALL back!  And the first way that we can began to reclaim our finances is by TITHING!  Now what exactly is tithing? Tithing is giving one-tenth (10%) of our income back to God.  For example, if we earn $1000, we give God $100 ($1000 x 10%).  Tithing is VERY important when it comes to reclaiming our finances because it's the MOST important thing we can do with our money. Not only does tithing show God that we honor Him ABOVE our money but Malachi 3:10 says: "Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house, and try Me now in this,” says the Lord of hosts, “If I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you such blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it.  In other words, God will pour out a blessing to those who tithe!  And that's a promise!

Now I know some of us struggle with tithing because we have bills to pay, the economy is horrible and we're living paycheck to paycheck.  Yes, we are living in tough economical times but PLEASE do NOT let this be an excuse to keep you from tithing!  God is a faithful God and He takes care of those who are obedient and doers of His Word.  He will NEVER leave us nor forsake and will take care of our every need!  Hubs and I are tithers however back when I was single, I can admit, I was hesistant.  I thought, "How in the world can I do this when I have children to take care of and a house to manage?!?"  One word solved this for me: TRUST!  As I begin to get to know God and really nurture our relationship, I began to trust Him as well as His Word.  I cannot begin to tell you how God has taken care of me and my family since we began tithing.  He's made ways out of absolutely NO way and STILL continues to do so!

So Lovebugs, if we are really serious about Reclaiming Our Finances, we have to start by tithing.  Not only is God faithful is taking care of our every need but He promises to give us more blessings that we can even handle by doing so!

Xo,

Amy :)
