May Day: Reclaiming Our Families

Hey there Lovebugs :)

Hope you all are having a fabulous week thus far!  I absolutely adore my family.  Family time is so precious to me.  It’s something about all of us getting together and enjoying each other’s company (and great food is ALWAYS in the vicinity!)  The bond of a close knit family is so strong and it drives the enemy crazy.  The spirit of division runs RAMPANT through our families but we come against that NOW in the name of Jesus!  Divorce rates are increasing, Parent/Child relationships are strained and families are torn apart over things such as generational curses and childhood issues.  But I declare and decree that we will reclaim our families and the first thing we need to do is pray.
Prayer changes things.  We must cover our families in prayer from the elders to the babies.  Many of us are where we are in life now because of the prayers of our parents and grandparents.  They went to war for us and we must do the same.  We can pray to God for our family members’ salvation, protection and safety and their overall well being.  And the thing is, we CANNOT stop praying. I Thessolonians 5:17 says ”Pray without ceasing.”  God answers prayers and He can do anything BUT fail!  God can take the most fractured family structure and make it whole again.  Marriages can be restored.  Parent/child relationships can be restored.  The family dynamic itself can be restored and healthy.  All we have to do is present our petitions to God and allow for Him to do the rest.
I don’t know about you guys but I’m excited to see the destruction of generational curses that are prevalent in our families.  I am excited to see what God can and will do in our families as we resolve in our hearts to reclaim them.  Our families will be close again (if not closer), healthier and whole and quite frankly, there is NOTHING that the enemy can do about it!

Lots of love,

Amy :)
