If Jesus Came Back Today, Would You Be Ready?

Hey there Lovebugs :)

As we're in the midst of Holy Week, preparing to celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, I can't help but imagine how it would have been to walk with Jesus.  Imagine being alive over 2,000 years ago, being one of Jesus' disciples.  Now imagine being present for the Crucifixion of Jesus.  Let's take it a step further and imagine seeing Jesus, after He rose from the dead.  Pretty interesting huh?  Jesus made the ultimate sacrifice when He chose to die for our sins.  He shed His blood, endured ridicule all because of His great love for us.

Matthew 24:36-42 says "But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone. For the coming of the Son of Man will be just like the days of Noah.  For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and they did not understand until the flood came and took them all away; so will the coming of the Son of Man be.  Then there will be two men in the field; one will be taken and one will be left. Two women will be grinding at the mill; one will be taken and one will be left. Therefore be on the alert, for you do not know which day your Lord is coming."  So now I ask you Lovies, if Jesus were to come back today, would you be ready?

Now some of us may ask, "well, what do I need to do to be ready?"  Others may say, "How do I know if I'm ready?"  One way that we can determine if we're ready is to look at the way that we live our lives.  If you could only speak through your actions, would people know that you are a Christian?  Would people know that you live your life for Jesus?  How about how you treat and interact with others?  Do you do everything out of love or do you only show love to those who love you back?

It's time for us to do a Lifestyle Check!  It's time for us to really make the necessary changes to ensure that we are living like we are followers of Christ.  This Christian lifestyle is just that: a lifestyle.  That means we have to make deliberate and conscious decisions and choices to live like Christ, because at the end of the day, when (not IF) Jesus comes back, will YOU be ready??

Amy :)
