Love Does Not Demand Its Own Way
Hey there Lovebugs :)
Happy New Week! It's amazing all of the things we can learn about love just by reading I Corinthians 13. Just imagine how this world would be if more love were in it. People would be more giving, move gracious and more caring. Also, people would be thoughtful of others.
Do you think about others just as much as you think about yourself? Does everything have to always go your way? Are you more interested in getting what you want even if it's at the detriment of someone else? God's Word tells us to love our neighbors as we love ourselves (Matthew 19:19). That includes not just looking out for ourselves but for others. Sometimes, we can be so determined to get what we want that we don't think about what others may want. We don't consider other people's feelings which can in turn cause confusion in our relationships and friendships. What keeps you from considering others?
There's nothing wrong with pursuing what you want. The problem comes we don't consider the effects it may have on those who are around us. Just as much as we would want others to be considerate of us, we have to be considerate of others!
