The Power of God's Presence

Hi Lovebugs :)

Last night, I surprised Hubs and took him to see Prophetess Juanita Bynum at Empowerment Temple in Baltimore, MD.  We've watched her sermons on YouTube and felt the presence of God so we just knew that seeing her ministering in the flesh would be a whole other experience.

The church was PACKED!  The last time I saw that many people at Empowerment was when Pastor Marvin Sapp visited. I felt in my spirit that God was going to do something supernatural last night... and He did.

God showed up at that church last night! People were delivered, healed and set free. Prophetess instructed us to shout from our bellies and in doing so, it was as if God took out all of the gook, the grime and the ugly of our internal and replaced it with His spirit, peace, healing and virtue. An exchange had taken place. Fresh anointings were handed out. Relationships with God were renewed and restored!  God really showed up last night!

Now, some of us may think that God only shows up when there's thousands of people, as if we could never have a one on one encounter with Him. Well, James 4:8 says "Come close to God, and God will come close to you". So as we make the effort to move close to God, He'll draw close to us! We make steps towards Him and He'll take step towards us. That simple!  We can have an encounter with God right in our living room. All we have to do is get close!

There is nothing on this Earth that compares to witnessing, experiencing and feeling the presence of God.  His presence will make you forget all about what hurts, what isn't working or what's bothering you. He will take all of the not so good and exchange it for good only when we give it to Him. If we're confused, we can go to God. If we're upset, we can go to God. If we're tired, we can go to God. Matthew 11:28 says "Then Jesus said, "Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest."  so God is there to help us through it all. All we have to do is be still, draw close to God and experience His presence like never before!

Xo,
Amy :)
