Balancing It All

Hey there Lovebugs :)

Nowadays, we have SO many responsibilities!  We have our relationship with The Lord, our relationships with family and friends, our businesses/jobs, ministry, the upkeep of our homes and so on and so on and so on. How in the world are we suppose to do it all without falling apart??

1.  Pray for wisdom and discernment. Ask God to help you make wise choices. Ask Him to lead you in your decision making. A lot of times we wear ourselves out over unnecessary things. We overextend ourselves simply because we can't say NO or we're trying to be nice. There is absolutely nothing wrong with being nice and offering yourself and time to others. Just make sure you're not overwhelming yourself in the process!

2. Prioritize!  Make sure you keep the main thing because everything is not a priority!  Make a list of your responsibilities and put them in order of importance. Take care of the most important ones first and then everything else should follow.

3.  Say NO!  As stated in #1, there's nothing wrong with being nice. The problem comes when we make other people's issues OUR issues!  Saying no does not make you a horrible person. There's nothing wrong with taking the steps to make sure you're not overdoing it and sometimes, that can be resolved just by saying no a little more often.

So Lovies, even though we have a lot on our plates, we can take care of it all if we work it right!  With a husband, four children, ministry, a business, a house to clean and host of other responsibilities, I know that things can get hectic!  But if we pray for wisdom and discernment, prioritize and say no here and there, we can begin (and continue) to manage our full plates. And besides, we "...can do all things through Christ Who strengthens us."  (Phillipians 4:13)

Xo,
Amy :)
