Taking Care of Our Relationships
Happy Saturday Lovies!
As of today, Hubs & I have been married NINE whole months! And boy have we learned some things along the way. One of the things I've learned is that the only way something will grow is if it is nurtured. And see, this doesn't just apply to plants. This goes for relationships too!
When was the last time we worked on the important relationships in our lives? With God? Our spouses/significant others? Families? Friends? Have we gotten so busy in our lives that we don't have time to take care of our relationships? We really have to understand that relationships do NOT build themselves! Ok, my schedule is BANANAS so I REALLY have to put forth the effort to nurture my relationships, especially with God, Hubs and my family. Do I always get it right? NO! Am I pressing on? YES! I bless God for allowing me to have wonderful people in my life, starting with Him but what good is it to say I have a relationship if it actually isn't one?
I want us to make a conscious effort to nurture those relationships that are important to us. Yes, we all have responsibilities and things to take care of but we must not forget about those we love and who love us. At the end of the day, when all of the work is completed and success has been attained, who doesn't want to come home to a God and people who will love and support us no matter what!
Love on someone today,
