May Day: Reclaiming Our Finances Part II

Hey there Lovies!

So, yesterday we began our RECLAIMING OUR FINANCES series.  We talked about the first step to reclaiming our finances, Tithing.  Today we will focus on "Stewardship".    Stewardship is the art of managing or supervising something.  How many of us can honestly say that we are successfully managing our money?  Are we making great decisions with the money that we are given?

We are called to be responsible with the resources that we have been given and that includes money.  We cannot expect to receive more if we are not taking care of what we have now.  Luke 16:10 - 12 says, "He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much; and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much.  Therefore if you have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches? And if you have not been faithful in what is another man’s, who will give you what is your own?"  This means that whatever we do with a small amount is the same thing we'll do with a large amount.  So, if we aren't responsible with $500, how is it that we can be responsible with $5000?

So Lovebugs, we have to really start taking responsibility for the decisions that we make when it comes to finances.  We can no longer blame this person or that person when we are the ones at fault.  We can start showing God that we are faithful with our money by making healthy financial decisions because the more faithful we are, the more blessed we shall become!

Love you lots,
Amy :)
