Training Our Children

Hey Lovebugs :) I asked our youngest son what should Mommy write about this morning and he said, very simple “Jesus”. I said ok, what about Him? Then he started reciting words to describe Him: Perfect, Nice, Brilliant Teacher, etc. It’s amazing how a soon-to-be seven year old views Jesus; what’s even more amazing is the fact that he even knows about Jesus! Now it has me thinking: What, as parents, are we teaching our children about Jesus? How important is it for us to read the bible to our children? It’s awesome that we value our children’s education but do we value their souls by teaching them about salvation. The Bible says to “train a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it” (Proverbs 22:6). We have a responsibility to train our children in the ways of the Lord, and not only train them but to show them Christ through our actions and behavior. So, I pose this question: whenever our children look at us, what/Who do they see?? Amy :)
