We're Not Who We Use to Be!
Hey Lovies J
Aren’t you glad that you’re not who you use to be? Think about it. Some of us use to do some crazy and not so
good things before we began our relationship with Christ (and even afterwards!)
Some of us have struggled with addiction, some of us lust and some of us
fornication. But take a second and
reflect on how much you’ve changed from a year ago. I’m pretty sure you’ve grown in some areas,
are more disciplined in other areas and I bet you even look differently! Now there may be some of us who are saying
“Nothing has really changed about me in a year!” Well, I don’t believe it! See, many of us believe change has to be
something big and drastic when sometimes it can be something subtle. Your mood could’ve changed, your habits
could’ve changed and even your perspective.
Change is change no matter how large or small it is. We need to acknowledge and even celebrate the
changes we have in our lives, whether good or not so good, because Romans 8:28
says “and we know that all things work
together for good for those who love the Lord and who are called according to
His purpose.” We have to thank God for
becoming more and more like Him each day that He blesses us with. He takes His time molding us, purging us and
cleansing us so that we can become accurate representations of Him. Each day is an opportunity for us to shine
our lights for Jesus and taking the time to reflect how far He’s brought us can
encourage us, uplift us and give us a reason to celebrate! With Christ, we are new creations with new
grace and new mercies DAILY! We’re not
who we use to be and we have no one but Jesus Himself to thank for that J
