#FamilyMondays: The Enemy is After Our Families!

Hey Lovebugs!

I absolutely love spending time with my family.  I love going on family outings, having family dinner & functions and even having family movie nights.  I thank God for my family daily because even in the ups and downs we have faced in life, we will ALWAYS be family.  We endure hardships together, births, deaths, promotions, job losses, EVERYTHING together.  There's nothing like having family there to support you... and the enemy hates it!

It's something about a praying, supportive family that wreaks havoc on the plans of the enemy because when family comes together, things change.  We cry together, laugh together, support one another and even enjoy one another.   The bond between a family can be strong that not even the gates of hell can prevail against it!  Think about some of the sayings we know about family:  "Blood is thicker than water" or "A family that prays together, stays together" or "It take a village to raise a child".  Or how about:  "For where two or three are gathered together in My Name, there I am with them" (Matthew 18:20) or "..One can chase a thousand & two put ten thousand to flight..." (Deut. 32:30) or " Two are better than one, Because they have a good reward for their labor, for if they fall, one will lift up his companion, but woe to him who is alone when he falls, for he has no one to help him up" (Ecclesiastes 4:9-12).  So you see, it's MUCH much better for our families to stick together than it is for us to be apart.

One surefire way we can protect our family is to cover them in prayer.  Prayer is SO effective.  But we can never know how effective our prayers are until we start praying.  Not sure what to pray?  You can start by saying what's on your heart.  Pray for your family's protection and safety.  Pray for them to have good health.  Pray that you all can remain close (and if you aren't close, pray for you all to get closer).

I will say again that I love my family.  Throughout everything that we experience, it's nothing like having the support, comfort and backing of a family that truly loves you!

Amy :)
